Deaf Friendly ‘One Stop Shop’
The Tyler Deaf and Hard of Hearing Center (TDHHC) began in 2012 when a local group met to discuss the possibility of starting a deaf center. There was no location in the Tyler area where individuals who are deaf could meet for activities, fellowship and services. That meeting led to the formation of the Tyler Deaf and Hard of Hearing Center. The vision of TDHHC is to offer a comprehensive group of services for deaf, hard of hearing, and deaf-blind people.
This includes –
• interpreter services
• after-school and summer programs for children
• senior citizen programs
• sign language classes
• adult literacy classes and more

OUR PURPOSE
TDHHC is organized exclusively for charitable services and educational purpose for the deaf, hard of hearing and deafblind community in East Texas.
OUR MISSION
TDHHC is a “deaf-friendly one-stop shop.” Deaf, hard of hearing and deafblind related services are accessible in one location serving individuals in East Texas.
